A staff that doubles as a walking stick?

Something I've noticed while re-reading the comic. Tenebrae's walking stick has what appears to be an orb with a symbol on it. http://klonoa.the-comic.org/comics/12/
This has caused me to think that it's not just a walking stick, but it might also double as some sort of staff. Thoughts?

It looks like an orb similar to a crystal ball also yes finally a more Klonoa related thread :D
