To me the electric whip or Enerbeam as you put it really doesn't leave very much of an impression. I do not need to do my research on something that gave me a poor impression of the franchise from the get go. In my opinion Sonic Boom is lacking in all general areas, I can't even begin to list my reasons why I don't like Sonic Boom. I'm not sure who AlphaRed9x is or what he said but I am entitled to my own opinions

I wasn't ranting on anyone's opinion or anything, I was making a point. I was referring to AlphaRed9x's sports tape complaint (even though it's really nothing to complain about) reminding me of the really pathetic complaints the Sonic Fanbase (which I'm considering doing a rant video on by the way) such as hating SB just because Sonic has blue arms, hating it just because Knuckles is larger and more muscular (the whole "Knuckles is on steroids" joke was KINDA funny at first but now it's gotten REALLY old), hating on it just because the characters have sports tape, etc.

To be honest Knuckles new design and the overabundant use of sports tape is just a couple of reasons I don't like Sonic Boom. Sure, they might seem like little things, but everything adds onto the overall appeal of the series, game, toy industry, or whatever you wanna call it. Granted, the Sonic fan base can be fussy and difficult to please. But, there wouldn't be so much complaining if SEGA or any other game company took the time out to pay more attention to what their fans had to say. They just ride on their success and expect everyone to continue to spend money on anything they make no matter how halfhearted it is. :|

This is really meant to introduce Sonic to a new audience, so fan feedback doesn't matter here. Besides, if everything was up to the fans, Sonic would still be in 2-D.

Fan feedback does matter because at the end of the day if consumers don't like something they won't buy it. SEGA has been trying to reach a 'new audience' and the result has received mix opinions. Besides gaming forums, no one really talks about Sonic. In this case, the older fans would have more influence over the younger fans because the younger fans tend to prefer playing Minecraft than Sonic.

Well, it's nice to see they didn't absolutely screw up Shadow's design...well, there's those annoying pieces of hair sticking out, but aside from that, I knida like it. And hey, no bandages!

(...wait, did they seriously add red stripes to his arms?)

Metal Sonic is also looking pretty spiffy. It seems they went with the more "classic" approach. Though, he looks kinda...off, for some reason..his head doesn't look nearly sharp enough. and, uh, no comment on the metal "dimples".

Artwork drawn by Somnax (FA), 5th Gen Pokemon sprite bases made by Pokemon-Diamond (DA).

Uh, those are screws. But nonetheless I'm happy that Shadow is in. He is my favorite Sonic character after all.

IKR tell me about! :D I know that this is suppose to be some sort of westernized cartoon but honestly I am over the moon that Shadow came out fairly alright, though I don't get what is up with those sudden red stripes they decided to add :|

Metal Sonic does look off, the way they drew him doesn't look as sharp as you said and well to me, Shadow and Metal Sonic just don't look as intimidating if you ask me :(

Shadow's always had red stripes on his arms, they're just more prominent on this design.

And yeah, Metal SANIC looks like he's getting rounder each time he's drawn :sad face: I remember him looking a lot more fierce and sharper in CD and SA2B.
