..Wait. So, 30 years after the fist game, or 30 years after the prequel? Because, you know, it DID close down twice already. And, after getting a stealth sequel, we can't be entirely sure of this game's chronology before release anymore. For all we know, this could be ANOTHER prequel to the first game, set 30 years after the second. By this logic, the soonest the game could take place would be 2017. But, did we ever find out what year the ORIGINAL game took place? I know there was that check that Mike gets at the end of Night 5, but I forgot what date it showed on it, if any...

In any case, I almost expect this game to have copious amounts of "Zeerust", perhaps even in an ironic manner. Maybe. Either that, or...I dunno. It's still too early to speculate about this just yet..l

True, but due to the implications of "The Bite of 87", and how the second game is greatly assumed to take place just before that event, we can assume that game took place in 1987, and with this game being set 30 years later, it can assumably be be 2017, at the earliest.

...either that, or we'll get some crazy mind-twist in the form of the second game actually taking place in 2087. I mean, these animatronics could be far more advanced than we take them for, to even have "free-roaming" in the first place, before all of that haunted mumbo-jumbo.

That would actually make sense. Not to mention Face Recognition, Criminal Databases and Background Checkers being on some Chuck. E. Cheese robots.
