We ACTUALLY have KOF characters in a Metal Slug game? So... It means that one could assume that these two series could be set in the same Universe, which means that they can totally be brought together.
...Well then. I feel like I have a pretty darn good idea of what my next Fanfiction is going to be about Though I'm going to have to look into the KoF-verse a little bit more to see how I can combine these two series.

Since the Ikari Warriors; Clark, Ralf and Leona were from the King of Fighters to begin with and then joined the Regular Army from Metal Slug, SNK Playmore thought that combining the two was a good idea. The result was a mixed bag. Some like it and some disliked it.

I, myself, am not much familiar with the KOF series. I only knew KOF whenever I saw someone playing it on arcades back then. I did try some of the games but dunno which one I started since it has many series to begin with. I'm pretty much cool with the collaboration between the two.

@Randomizer Personally I've only played KoF 13 (which I adored and can frankly be considers as a really good fighting game, especially graphic and music-wise), and then I've seen the Fatal Fury OAVs, which allowed me to learn more about some of the most iconic KoF characters. Leona's team joining the regular army kinda makes sense, since they're militaries to begin with, so I think continuing the crossover with this type of Cameos is definitely a fun addition. So yeah, I'm cool with the collaboration as well. Again, mostly because of the really interesting possibilities it brings.

Just noticed that Metal Slug Defense is still being updated even though Metal Slug Attack is the game that is mostly played these days (you need to be always online to play it though).
