LOL! But if I may ask, why make Super Klonoa silver instead of gold?
Pure white, actually, with red eyes instead of the dark blue he used to have.
As for the change, well, around late 2010 to early 2011, I was watching this anime called Soul Eater that my DA friends got me into, and I liked how the protagonist, Soul, had white hair and red eyes. Thought he looked cool like that. It's actually a pretty common thing in Japanese anime to have albino characters, really. So as I watched through Soul Eater, I was reminded of someone saying that Super Klonoa would look better with white rather than drawing direct inspiration from Sonic and DB.
And she was right. SK does look better in white. And now I realize that it better closely associates him with the wind, as the wind is often depicted with the color of white. Plus, the red eyes just makes him look a lot more serious.
Another thing, btw. I guess at the time, I was sick of hearing that Super Klonoa was too much like Sonic. So that's another reason. That, and you could see it as me repenting for my mistakes on the KFC. Hm.
Not sure if I mentioned this already, but I don't see SK as a Sonic crossover anymore. Yes, he's still unclothed. Yes, he has spiky hair. But in this day and age of tropes, those traits are common and aren't necessarily attributed to Sonic.
SK is his own thing now. A badass wielding a lightsaber and has the power of the wind at his side (and his energy being that of nightmares or something. Someone suggested that on Skype once. *shrug*)
