According to the guide books, It has been 3000 years since the "100 Day War" when the story of door to Phantomile begins.
Grandpa does know a lot about the past of Phantomile, but the only thing we can be sure is that  Pamela is one of those who survived the war and remained.

That is true, hence leaving open the possibility about Granpa being a descendant, or maybe even Balue. Either of them could be a part of the royal bloodline.

The Wii manual added the fact of the celestial fish race (presumably the same race as Karal and Pamela) assisting in the efforts against Ghadius.

The leader of each "kingdom" commanded a moon cannon at the end of the game. Balue was one of the commanders either because of the fact that Granpa was deceased at that time, or because Balue is the descendant.

If you notice, some letters are just tilted in the vertical axis, if you tilt them back they are what they are supposed to be n our alphabet. You should try testing with tilting etc

It looks like there are 2 font styles, cursive and normal. Try making a table of what each letter you think would be then put them together with the table and see if you can get something.

At least in the first example, the words that use the ϭ symbol for E, are words that use silent E's. The word Cress, which uses Δ doesn't.

(I know those aren't the exact symbols, I just used the closest matches I could find.)


My guess is that different symbols might mean different pronunciations. The only problem with that is the other worlds like "Phantomile" which uses a Δ, even though it's silent.
