I found a way to change active pixels. It looks like DTD Calculator is not only showing my internal display, it shows a combination of all displays.

However, using it crashes my drivers and make windows bluescreen with VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE error.

Fortunately, I fixed that too :)

EnTechTaiwan also have a utility named MonInfo. Here is what I found on here:

Timing characteristics:
  Horizontal scan range.... 30-83kHz
  Vertical scan range...... 56-76Hz
  Video bandwidth.......... 140MHz
  Native/preferred timing.. 1280x1024p at 60Hz (5:4)
    Modeline............... "1280x1024" 108,000 1280 1328 1440 1688 1024 1025 1028 1066 +hsync +vsync

If I don't pass the 140MHz mark. GPU drivers don't crash.

However, now the monitor is acting weird.

1. Both MonInfo, Windows and Monitor's documentation says this monitor can run between 56-76Hz. And I can't manage to run it on 56Hz. If I use a refresh rate below 60, it'll go into sleep mode.
2. Another problem is vertical resolution. It don't go beyond 1024px. If I try a resolution a few px larger than 1024px (example 1050px) it crops from bottom. Using a noticably large resolution (example 1280px) it'll go into sleep mode, just like the low refresh rate.

that screen sounds unusually strict might be a combination of that and videodriver + display controller though. :c eh .. ah hmm idk how it will act with interlaced but try that maybe D:

I've not had to use entech's powerstrip in a long long while so moninfo is new to me :u. I wish you luck it getting it to do something out of norm somehow.

I wonder if 1440x1080 can be snuck into it as well as old 1600x1200. :s but the screen seems 5:4 so that would be off :x hmm

1440x1152 1500x1200 1350x1080 maybe even though those are really strange resolutions.

I don't have a whole lot of time to read it all atm and you already tried some of this stuff but this thread here might be a little helpful hoepfully.

Also does your laptop have displayport by any chance "not sure if useing one of those adapters would change anything or not"

I decided to ditch the weird resolutions and timings, and go a bit standard this time.

I tried 1600x1200 with standard VESA timings (well, almost. I reduced pixel clock to 140MHz.)

It no longer puts itself to sleep mode, instead it display an warning screen: ATTENTION CANNOT DISPLAY THIS VIDEO MODE,CHANGE COMPUTER DISPLAY INPUT TO 1280X1024@60Hz :(

:( sorry to hear. I'm guessing that particular screen is excessively strict.

Edit: I broke or horribly confused something on my display port adapter trying to mess with my crt and now it shows this ... but hey it's nice to see 120hz again. No 3D does not work I don't even know how it thinks it is possible.
