Over the years, people have come to the forums and discussed many mysteries about Klonoa himself,
the worlds he has traveled to, and his friends/foes.
But even with discussions, people often find themselves confused.

The truth is, the information is as plenty as all the questions already asked - they're merely not available in languages other than Japanese.
Although there might not be definitive answers, I can tell you what the staff thought when working on the series with everything I've found.

Some of you may have known better than me, so please help me correct any flaws or provide more details.

That's strange, I heard somewhere that his name was a combination of "kuro" Japanese word for black, and "noir", French word for... the same thing. I really remember seeing tweets about it for some reason.
But the "C"lonoa thing is definitely true, so I dunno where that rumor's from

I remember seeing something about this. As in, somewhen in the early planning for the English localization, like, the title for the game was planned to be, like, "Clonoa the Breeze", or something.
