Issue with my wii u

Okay so my wii u keeps acting strange, periodically the display on my TV keeps cutting off (or blacks out as I call it) every time I play it. I tried Nintendo's support web page and they were no help whatsoever. It is seriously driving me nuts. Think anyone can help me here?

Check your cables, especially your HDMI cable. If you have another one, try to hook it up to another HDMI cable and see if it does it again.
