What makes a "better" rival is a little hard to define, so I went with how the rivalry itself functioned -- although I can't deny that Guntz likely dominates in combat ability, I actually went with Leorina. Leorina had a specific goal in mind, and sees Klonoa, whom is working towards a similar goal, as a direct threat, which lends itself to a sort of rival-like hostility. Guntz, on the other hand, simply feels like a competitive equal -- after all, he is DIRECTLY TASKED with taking out Klonoa in the tournament they find themselves in. While they still befriend eachother all the same, I didn't really feel the antagonism of their rivalry reached any sort of personal level the way that Klonoa's did with a certain sky pirate.
