Yep. Some early concept sketches for the webcomic show that the cat-like eyes from Door to Phantomile were considered as part of Klonoa’s design.

I think they were used during the Moonlight Museum throwback. I think. If that is the case, then it would be very strange because Moonlight Museum actually ditched the big eyes.
