(Old Poll) What is KLONOA's Species?!
« on: June 16, 2014, 03:47:18 pm »
Now, i wanted to ask a question ; What is klonoa's species? As what i know, he is a cat, specially in Klonoa : Door to Phantomile (Wii) when he's getting hurt, Anyone has a idea since the wiki says "Unknown"?. I wanted to edit it to "Cat" but it's hard to think  <img src="http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/082/456/Okay.png" alt="Posted Image" width='50' height='50' /> looks like i will really need a idea before editing randomly <img src="http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_livdroljP61qgthdfo1_250.png" alt="Posted Image" width='50' height='50' />

EDIT FOR THE NEW FORUMS: Looks like the pictures are dead, I HATE GIGANATIC PICTURES..

Not even Namco knows
I'm just going to say he is a new species of some sort.

Seems like there are a few similar to his kind in phantomile though.

You could think of phantomile as realm where the beings are embodiments of their respective consciousnesses or soul maybe both.

Because wth is a Ghadius or a Moo even Nahatomb seems like an unidentifiable thing if not some distorted being it's self :( poor thing.

Lunatea seems to follow a similar strangeness I mean look at popka's eyes what creature needs that kind of pupil in their eyes?

The king of sorrow seems to be an embodiment of his respective essence or maybe a consciousness that attached to it.

I can't even pin down what Phantomile and Luntea are supposed to be they are realms supported off dreams but whos it seems like many dreams exist for some reason but are relatively unknown?

The world phantom in Phantomile might be a hint to that but with no certainty.

There is all my theorizing for now.

For me Klonoa is a being born from a consciousnesses or soul of some origin the appearance is based off what I said earlier.

Edit: Klonoa says manya or magya when he gets hurt. on the wii version it almost sounds like hanya to me but I prefer phatomillian speak Klonoa over other languages.

Somebody mentioned it that Klonoa is closed to long-eared cat.
But I think Klonoa is Phantomilian
because some of Breezegalian look like dog(?)

Klonoa surely isn't a dog, because of the nose's shape being more like the one of a cat. People define Klonoa as a cabbit

According to the dictionary on the wiki, "manya" means an extreme negative, while "magya" means that he gets hurt, though he seems to say "hanya" on both language tracks on the wii version. I guess they changed it so people won't get "manya" mixed up with "magya" as the two sound awfully close to each other. Also, Namco said he is primarily a fantasy character, but they usually call him a cat with long ears and I say he looks more like a cat to me.

He's human of "another world", because the manual says Klonoa is a "curious boy".
I mean, why so serious? Just leave it unchanged for now.
Also don't believe what Namco USA had said. Mr. Hideo already confirmed he's not a cat, nor a rabbit.

In fact, I hate it when people refer to Klonoa as "cabbit".
Why does he have to be something between a cat and a rabbit, because he looks like a combination of the two? Why can't people just be a little more imaginative? Maybe he's a "rabbit cat"! Yeah, a "rabbit cat", not a cat nor a rabbit. Wait...isn't "rabbit cat" means a cat which looks like a rabbit?
Anyway, I think you all have got the idea ;3

Well, these are my opinions. You can still hold yours and just ignore me. It's freedom of thought. Besides, I'm a nobody, not a member of the development team :P

I don't get your point. I wasn't being imaginative? Using my imagination doesn't count as me being imaginative?

But it dosen't mean "boy" becomes a human instantly <img src="https://forums.oneplus.net/attachments/laughing-face-meme-597x772-png.17978/" alt="Posted Image" width='40' height='40' />, they might meant about he is male :)

Unchanging? but dosen't Phantomille makes more sense than Unknown?

Hideo.. confirmed? alright, no cat, no bunny, sorry for who polled it (i polled cat already)

For now, i think i will close the poll, Phantomille wins!
