I've played every other Klonoa game but this. I don't understand why I haven't (other than being in Japanese, but it didn't stop me from trying Klonoa Heroes)

I know that Empire of Dreams is VERY similar to this, one can almost say that it's a GBA port of this game. But for those who have played it, please tell me how it is.

It's fine. There's some lag but that's cuz it's pretty much GB quality.

There's not a lot in the game other than stone collecting and jumpin' and wahhuughghh yeh. A lot of backtracking too if I remember right.

there is some backtracking involved. MM level design was not as fluid as the other GBA games. Since MM is in black/white there isn't much to see but fortunately the gameplay does not suffer. All in all it's a Klonoa handheld game; if you liked the other GBA games you'll like MM.

It's not a bad game, it has the same puzzle value as the GBA titles, plus it takes advantage of the Wonderswan's design by having some levels that play with the console held sideways.

The major downside is that there's no boss fights. None. Not even at the very end.

Really? None at all? Seems sort of uneventful.

What about the story? Does it have a story?

Yeah, it has a story. An incredibly simple one that doesn't come into play much, but it's there.

The one strong point of it to me is that collecting all the dream stones in the levels unlocks pieces of Arai's artwork, and that's more rewarding to me than any achievement could ever hope to be x3

I see. So it's sort of what Dream  Champ Tournament does, getting everything in the level unlocks a picture. Neat! I might have to try it.

Unfortunately no. I don't think I'd be able to play it anyway, as all the games were in Japanese.

Well, since Wonderswan is not available now, you can download the game and play it on a emulator.
Emulator: http://sourceforge.jp/projects/oswan/downloads/47797/OswanJ_r99.zip/
