I'm not sure if they count, since they're RPGmaker games, but Ib, Tess, and Space Funeral were some of the shortest games I've ever played. They can all be beaten in an hour or two if you know what you're doing.

That isn't a test of their quality at all though, they're all great, and Ib especially is one of my all-time favorite games.

...okay, okay, that was a little immature. But now, thinking about it, I've played way too many games to remember which one was the "shortest", although I know I finished up Klonoa Wii in one day (not including the mirror visions, or such.) Heck, I know for a fact that a few games I rented way back when were incredibly short for me- like, one or two days tops- but I just can't recall which ones...

...well, aside from Brave, but...I think that may have taken two days, due to starting it late...or maybe it was one day. Whatever.

Anyways, getting back on topic, A Boy and His Blob is pretty short. Probably wouldv'e beaten it in one day, too, if I didn't get a bit lazy 90% in and put it off until a few days later.

Have you played Forest of Drizzling Rain? It's also an RPGmaker game, and recently, a grammatically correct English version was released. It's pretty short but I heard there's about five different endings you can get.

Shortest game I ever played?

It's a hard one, I've played some short ones. Though if I had to pick a contender, I'd say Sonic Colors DS. I beat the main story within mere hours of buying it. Even after that, it only took me an extra week to get the special ending.

I have beaten Sonic R about 10 times and each time took around 20-30 minutes.

Funnily enough I still think Sonic R is a terrible game.
